Commercial Solar Outdoor Lighting
There are five electrical components in a solar-powered light: solar module,
high-efficiency DC lamp, charge controller, light controller, and battery.
The other components are light fixture (luminaire), mounting hardware, electrical
enclosure, and exterior wiring.
The main categories of commercial solar outdoor lighting are:
- Solar Area Lighting: Flood lights and spot lights
- Solar Street Lighting: for roadways and parking lots
- Solar Security Lighting: for buildings and perimeters
- Solar Walkway and Pathway Lighting: for property and parks
- Solar Marker Lights and Beacons
- Solar Traffic Warning Lights
- Solar Road Markers (Solar Road Studs)
- Solar Shelter Lighting
We sell the following DC-powered outdoor lighting products:
- LED Street Light -
High-efficiency LED outdoor lighting fixture for use on urban and rural
roadways. For use in areas where off-grid solar DC electric power is the
preferred power source or where AC power is not available.
- LED Flood Light - High-efficiency
LED outdoor lighting fixture for use on pathways, lawns, gardens, parking
areas, and building entrances in urban and rural areas. For use in areas
where off-grid solar DC electric power is the preferred power source or
where AC power is not available.
- Solar Traffic Warning
Light - Solar traffic warning light flashes 24 hours a day,
365 days a year to warn drivers about an impending road hazards such as
a stop, turn or construction. For use as a traffic warning light in areas
where AC power is not available.
- Solar Road Marker -
A solar-powered light and reflector that flashes at night to mark the
edge or path of a road, walkway or area. For use as a road, lane and area
marker in locations where a lighted marker is needed.

Advantages of Solar Power
There are many advantages to using solar electric power in remote, inaccessible
or standalone applications:
Affordable
Off-grid solar electric systems are now price competitive with alternative
energy sources, such as operating diesel generators or installing utility
electricity, as measured by Dollars per kWh of energy generated.
Reliable
Unlike gas or diesel generators, or wind turbines, photovoltaic power
systems have no moving parts and require little maintenance.
Flexible
Solar power systems can be designed in modules to meet specific requirements
now. Add more capacity later with no equipment replacement as loads increase.
