Ontario Feed-In Tariff (FIT)
The Ontario Feed-In Tariff is a power purchase agreement program implemented by the Ontario Power Authority. The program pays for electricity generated by a qualified grid-connected photovoltaic system.
- The Feed-In Tariff (FIT for systems over 10 kW) pays up to 71.3 cents per kWh. The micro-Feed-In Tariff (microFIT for systems less than 10 kW) pays up to 80.2 cents per kWh. The PV systems can be ground-mounted or rooftop-mounted.
- The length of the FIT contract is 20 years.

U.S. Government Incentives for Solar Power
- Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) - Comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. A project of the North Carolina Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC). It is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).
- U.S. Department of Energy: Tax Incentives for Consumers - Available due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
- U.S. Department of Energy: Tax Incentives for Businesses, Utilities, and Governments - Available due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
- California Solar Initiative - State program offers cash back for installing solar power on your home or business.
- California New Solar Homes Partnership - California Energy Commission program that provides financial incentives and other support to home builders to encourage the construction of new, energy efficient solar-powered homes.
- New Jersey Clean Energy Program - State program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy and install renewable energy systems.
